Damn I would love for the whole Blinkumentary to leak.

I don't understand, it looks like they put a lot of time and effort (and probably money) into making this. So why not release it?

 

If that whole thing leaks, I doubt I'll be able to keep my emotions in check. Knowing it's all recorded from "better times" within the band.

 

Yup I agree completely. I finally saw the video this morning and thought it was ok. I didn't hate it, I wished it was better, but didn't think it was as bad as everyone made it out. It is what it is. I'll never watch it again and after this post probably will never think about it again haha.

 

I believe the band themselves weren't happy with the finish product and said they were going to reshoot some/most/all of it and then release it. Of course like pretty much anything the band said they were going to do during the reunion era never happened.

I can only imagine how the film is if they weren't happy with it. I wonder if it was just a bunch of awkwardness between the band members and it didn't fit with the "We all love each other again and everything is awesome" narrative.

This doesn't mean anything but based on YouTube likes, 96% of viewers "liked" the video and 4% "disliked" it. Not a terrible response from the public

 

Yeah I mean for the general public I could see why people would like it and for the super fans I can see why they would dislike it. It's a completely unforgettable video, kind of all of their videos have been since the reunion. Unfortunately I don't think we're going to ever get videos as good as the original WMAA, ATST or First Date.

Eh I kind of dug the After Midnight video. Though I swear it ripped off the plot of some movie my girlfriend watched.

unlike the new music video. someone told me the girls in the video are vine stars.

nothing besides blink has given me such joy and disappointment over the years.

Video is boring and just plain bad. Wife had never seen the original What's My Age Again, All the Small Things, or Man Overboard videos so I showed her those and they still hold up to me as being perfectly tongue-in-cheek and fun for the band at that stage of their career. Man Overboard had already perfectly captured parodying their earlier videos, so it just made this seem like a youtube copycat low quality video (mixed with the fact that the girls look painfully awkward during the "music" scenes and there isn't anything novel about changing the guys to girls).

 

but guys, its a girl streaking! obviously she's out of her mind!

 

My first thought watching the video was "I should really start running more" haha I think that's different from the typical straight male response.

 

Mine was 'this song is trash'.

 

They really should've at least had someone that had ever touched a drumstick in their life

 

i want the blink dudes to act in a video again. i miss seeing their antics. it's not funny watching other people doing the stuff that's supposed to be funny, or whatever.

 

Yeah that video felt a little weird. The gimmick wears off so quick. Oh well though. People don't really even watch music videos more than once anyways.

 

Seeing Skiba on Mark's snapchat, I have do doubt Matt could fit right in on something like that.

 

I remember reading or listening to an interview with Feldmann and he said Matt is one of the funniest dude. I never would have guessed that based off of Skiba's interests, lyrics etc.

 

I realllyyy want to see No Future become an official single

 

Speaking from experience, Matt is weird and hilarious and extremely personable. Besides from the past live tours because of being pressed for time, when I've seen them, he's told jokes and stories on stage and is a lot more lively than he has been with Blink. It was kind of disappointing but I hope by the time the next album comes around he's more comfortable or whatever.
