I remember when the Alchemy Index repress leaked early in 2017 and it sold out. Dustin had to go make a video apologizing for the mess up. Ultimately they went and ordered another unnumbered batch of them but someone somewhere out there is fucking up lol.

I wouldn't know personally but I'm sure it'd be too much hassle for a merch company to go and refund everyone who capitalized on an leaked PO. May as well just honor it. Money talks.

Does everyone else get dinged-up records every time they order something or am I just unlucky?

Can't speak for all of USPS or UPS, but it's been hard on those services overall, I feel. USPS generally has less staff from when their way of doing business changed under the last president. And then where I live specifically, they changed the timeframe and for how long delivery people can do their routes. So generally less staff to sort and scan things, less time to deliver, and probably more demand in terms of usage. It's a bad combo. I had a record I sold the other week get delivered and it was banged up. I packaged it properly and wrote fragile all over and it wasn't enough. And now with the holiday uptick, I think that line of work is swimming even more. It sucks to be sure, but they are dealing with a lot on their end too.

 

Way too much cool stuff in there, don't do that to me!

Yeah, I understand that. I don't blame the postal workers. It just kind of sucks when you order a cool variant of one of your favorite albums and it's all beat up before it has even been opened. Maybe I should start shelling out a bit more money for better shipping.
