I'll have to read the lyrics, but what I've picked up so far in Pass The Baby doesn't feel like it necessarily fits with the themes of the rest of the album? could be wrong though.

To make a counterpoint to those who have had the album for awhile and said they wished we hadn't had pass the baby spoiled for us, I'm actually happy that I knew what was coming. It made the buildup to it super intense. I wasn't expecting the buildup to be so long. But yeah that was awesome on first listen.

And that's why you always leave a note.

I got the same vibe from it as well. It was my least favorite on first listen but it's grown on me with every subsequent listen.

Yeah, easily their best since Futures.

Pretty Grids sounds nothing like Gotta Be Somebody's Blues. That's a really odd comparison to me.

I'm not saying the songs sound the same, I'm saying the tracks serve the same purpose.

    Where can I hear that?

I don't even get that though, most of Integrity Blues is mid-tempo and Pretty Grids is mid-tempo. It's not a change-up from anything.

Something about the chorus to Pretty Grids just grabs me. JEW uses the keys really well on this album.

Jim played it on his acoustic tour last year, so there are some love vids floating around. Nothing recorded *I don't think*.

You don't get that Gotta Be Somebody's Blues is an outlier on Chase This Light?

Oh shit so maybe I was wrong?

Of course I do. Pretty Grids is far from an outlier on Integrity Blues.

Contrary to what seems like popular opinion, the only track that hasn't grabbed me at all yet is the title track. I suspect that will change once I give it a spin on the long, late drive home to see family over the holidays.

besides Pass The Baby, it's very distinct and stands out for sure.

Hey now. Look at you. Way cool.

I think he/she is saying that GBSBs is an outlier on CTL, but Pretty Grids isnt an outlier on IB.

Pretty Grids and It Matters are probably my least favorites at this point, which is probably a weird opinion based on what ive been reading the in thread

Hmmm odd, I quite like those two. I don't seem to be enjoying Through or Pol Roger as much as everyone else - good songs, just not grabbing me like I'd hoped.

They grow on you, especially It Matters. Once the lyrics kind of hit you it really sells it.

Just finished my first listen. How did they write something this amazing nine albums in? I'm a huge fan of Invented and Damage, but this is next level.

Not loving the fact that I haven't had anything insightful to add to this thread since the Nickelback discussion.

Will finally get to dive into this record shortly.. if it seems I have any patience, don't be fooled. I need to hear this now!!!! haha
