This just adds to my take that gen z likes really boring music. I am not judging it on artistic merit, but whenever I see the shows that are selling out like hotcakes, and I've not heard of the artist, it's always really slow, melancholy, boring (to me) on first listen music. Mitski / Laufey / Noah Kahan / Japanese House... it's all just sort of quiet and meh and not at ALL the music I would think would be fun to see live. I think what gen z just values in a show must just be different I guess. I could probably get into a lot of this on record but it doesn't scream 'OMG - we have to go see this performed live'.

 

I just want this shit to be regulated. Only allow resale of like, 4 tickets at a time per account (one account per email and housing address), for a max percentage of 20% above initial sale value.

The biggest reason the costs are so high is resale. But that system's rigged because you have "companies" purchasing tickets from the same pool that legitimate fans are. So it's not representative of the actual demand at the time of the on-sale.

I kinda don't care about the cost of arena shows. But when you're seeing the trickle-down into the theater and club shows is where it gets problematic for me.

 

never heard of her but just listened to it. I see the appeal, reminds me of when Lana first hit. I wonder how this will translate live.

Pretty busy 2024 for baseball parks and 90s alt-rock icons between Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, RHCP, Green Day, and Blink.

 

Still find it weird Foo Fighters never announce the entire tour, yet some cities were teasing the tour like 6 weeks ago then no follow-up

Saw Queens of the Stone Age tonight and wow. I wasn’t expecting them to be that good

 

I’ve only heard one Slipknot song, and it was on here only like two years ago.

 

I went to the Botch show last night in Santa Ana and I will be damned if that wasn’t one of the best live sets I’ve ever seen. Y’all fucked up if you didn’t see this tour
