this guy should probably not watch the golden globes (or really any other award show for that matter) if he doesn't like a few jokes being cracked at the expense of people in the industry

 

Eh I really don't think he meant it as a dig towards them regarding the whole crunch situation. Just that CoD campaigns are super short. Which is a known thing, so it's not like he was making things up for the heck of it. Like if he hadn't had his half hour speech last year this would never had been said.

I'm assuming they weren't around when Joel McHale was hosting back in the day haha.

 

Despite the show itself being whatever, Im excited for a few of the new games I saw announced last night. Rise of the Ronin, Wukong, The First Berserker all piqued my interest. First Descendant did too until I realized it was a looter shooter but Im good on those after Destiny.

As for my standout game of the night.....Mecha Break looks FANTASTIC. I'm not a fan of multiplayer only games but I'll def put in time with this.

 

Yes. Just lots of long cutscenes that are ubskippable. Otherwise a dece 7/10 game that brushes with greatness sometimes.

Ah much appreciated. Thats a shame since the trailer honestly looks pretty good. But I wasn't following that game at all prior to the trailer last night and was completely unaware. Shits hard to keep up with!

before I started the Jurassic park trailer I was like imagine if it’s a alien isolation game but with dinosaurs

and the gameplay got me HYped and scared as hell

 

I tried to play Fortnite racing but the servers are all wonky but it seemed ok so far

yeah it’s just rocket league racing which I’m cool with since I love rocket league

Thinking of selling my PS5 for a Steam Deck OLED. I have a Switch and love that I can pop it in a dock in any room in my house and play - and then obviously take it on the road. I really like my PS5 but it's annoying when I can only really play it in one room. I've tried the PS5 remote but I rent where I live and thus can't have it connected over ethernet to help the consistency and streaming over wifi doesn't really work great.

I'm not a huge AAA game player and I don't need the best graphics possible. I just want to be able to have the flexibility that a switch offers but have the option of a larger library of games.

Can anyone with a SteamDeck help offer some guidance? lol

 

Just got my Steam Deck OLED and I'm loving it so far. I'm in the same boat as you there. I don't think I could go back to a console only anymore as I much prefer the pick up and resume nature of the Steam Deck and Switch.

 

I love my OLED and my PS5. Those are the two I bank on. I used to live my Switch, but that was pre Steam Deck. It was holding up fine against everything else, but now it's much overdue for a successor.

 

I hate that Powerwash simulator is on PS now and I’m restarting and bitching about the second level and how time consuming it is, but can’t stop playing.

 

Lego 2k drive is fun if not a bit stiff in how it controls. Very early goings so not sure how building or unlocking new vehicles works so as I get further in maybe that’ll help

 

Do you play your SteamDeck in docked mode a lot? If so - how do the graphics (in general) compare to the PS5?

 

The Steam Deck is a little less powerful than a PS4.
