People often tell me I should like it because I like Souls and soulslike games but it just doesn't feel the same

 

I also haven’t been able to get into MH

Definitely think Death Stranding 2 is first, probably late next year. OD is probably 2-3 years away minimum if I had to guess

Cyberpunk as best ongoing game is dumb. It’s ongoing because yall had to fix it and make it work lol

 

Has a release window ever been mentioned for DS2? I kinda wasn’t even expecting it until at least 2025

 

I wonder if Kojima told him that he was great in Lies of P

I could actually see OD coming sooner than we think because of the way it was described as a movie/game/interactive experience type thing. Could be ignorance on my part but I would think the development time is shorter if that’s the case.

 

Which will come out first? Blade the movie or Blade the game? Lol

 

Eh, I disagree. From the sounds of it he’s doing things that haven’t been done before so it might take more time to create. Would love to be wrong and get it sooner but I doubt it.

I honestly can't stand The Game Awards. Someone said something like "The game awards gave an example of crunch first hand by rushing the winners off the stage as quickly as possible."

In a year where there were 6,000 + layoffs, studio shutdowns, calls for unionization, crunch, and more it seems completely disrespectful to just throw as many ads and reveals as possible in the hopes of drowning out the very real problems with the industry.

There were even protestors outside of the event this year who want to bring attention to industry workers needing better conditions.

I can't believe you would tell someone to wrap up while they are dedicating an award to a co-worker who passed during development.

It's less about the art more about the attention. And that's why I hate The Game Awards.

 

They should just turn it into Winter Game Fest. They clearly just do not give a fuck about the awards. Geoff looked annoyed whenever he had to actually do the awards part and couldn’t get through it fast enough. I honestly believe the majority of people don’t actually watch it for the awards anyway. Just get rid of the charade if you’re not going to actually honor and respect the people that actually make these games.

Had no idea the mana series was a spin off of Final Fantasy until about 5 minutes ago

 

Might indulge in the new Mana game because I spent hours playing Secret of Mana on Super Nintendo and then pretty much gave up on JRPG's.

 

Final Fantasy Adventure on gameboy in America is the first true Mana game

 

Mana > Final Fantasy

 

I think the actual awards are good and rewarding (duh) for the teams working on the games and its good for their marketing.

I never care about any awards in anything, I watch award shows for the spectacle and to see if Will Smith is gonna slap somebody.

 

And Final Fantasy Legend was the first SaGa game!

 

I went so hard on those Legend games as a kid, I bought the collection when it came out like 2 years ago and I lasted for like 3 mins those games are so damn antiquated

 

Yeah, but when a bunch of people in the industry seem to have a problem with it, I think it definitely comes into question why it's even an awards show and not just a winter showcase.

I liked the idea someone said that it should be a two night event, first night is the showcase and second is the awards or something.

The whole thing is really scummy and disingenuous.
