Yeah the Ryman in Nashville is 2700 cap. For reference I’ve seen Lauryn Hill, Jimmy Eat World, Deftones, The Smile, among others. Def feels like a stretch

 

What a hallowed venue, wasted on fucking Max Bemis spewing his vape juice everywhere and letting his neglected children wipe their dirty hands all over the walls lol

 

I'm sure the smaller venues on this run (1-2k) will do just fine. Especially in Brooklyn. But the bigger ones I'm less sure of... Not so much because of the allegations (because, as you put it, I'd imagine most of those people hopped off the discourse train years back) but just because of where the band is popularity wise (or lack thereof).

Though maybe the album play will hype it up a bit more than I would have anticipated...

See, I know absolutely zero people who are even remotely interested in this band anymore. Everybody seems to have moved on for one reason or another with no real interest in listening to them or seeing them live anymore (it's mostly that people just don't care about the band; nothing to do with the allegations).

So yeah, maybe I'm just missing out on where the hype is! I still think some of these venues will be big swings but probably not big enough to notice (e.g., Jawbreaker and Joyce Manor played there and it was maybe 30% full but there was stuff at every other viable venue in the city that night so maybe that was it).

I mean, I might be totally wrong too. Usually when they play OC it’s the Observatory. So I was surprised to see that they’re doing the House Of Blues instead. PLUS The Wiltern the night before. Which does seem like a stretch, but that type of music is still pretty hot here, so we’ll see how it goes…

 

Or they just dont spend all their time on reddit and chorus fm message boards reading made up accusations from internet detectives. One or the other... :)
