The problem with the IST is that the NBA is almost admitting games before Xmas don’t matter and they needed something to push the needle. BUT, as a die hard fan, that’s just not true.

A big game is a big game no matter when it happens in the schedule. I have personally been to plenty of October, November, December games that have felt like playoff atmosphere games. I don’t need the tag of an IST game to get me more up for a game.

I guess I’m not against the idea of an IST, but I think it needs to be way more meaningful and well thought out.
