Yeah, it's definitely great for that! Last year was fun, but I went home early because it was pissing rain and 40 degrees. I'm hoping the date change will prevent that!

Fillmore in Philly just announced taking back Sunday with citizen opening August 16th

 

Was kind of disappointed I didn’t get OWTH, but Tim Barry is pretty awesome. That’s a great tour.

 

Screaming Females announced they are calling it quits. a few weeks back they canceled their final handful of shows of 2023, was hoping for a reschedule but, sadly not.

 

Damn, that sucks to hear. Was supposed to see them in August but had to bail due to a family thing.

 

Didn’t realize Amon Amarth could do arenas in some markets. That’s nuts

 

Something about Quicksand being the opener seems odd to me. I feel like this would at least be a co-headliner of Quicksand and HWM. Unless I’m underestimating HWM’s draw?

 

they are probably as big as a metal band gets without being able to do arenas. I assume those will be the type of shows where the floor is full and some sections of the seats by the stage. I assume those venues were relatively cheap to rent in markets that didn’t have 4K-5k venues.

 

It’s definitely a little odd considering Quicksand just played the same venue last week, but HWM has toured more sparingly and this combo will probably sell that venue out as opposed to Quicksand only having it 75-80 percent full.

 

I need to catch up here…

Sonic Temple: an hour and 45 minutes from me. There are a lot of bands I’d like to see. But they are spread out from Friday to Sunday. I’d really like to see Sleep Token but they are maybe the only band I really care about Saturday. Friday or Sunday are real possibilities.

RHCP: I didn’t plan on ever seeing them again, I saw the local date at Blossom and thought to myself, “maybe”. Then I saw Kid Cudi is opening Pittsburgh date (which is also under two hours from me) and I think I’ll do that to see Cudi. But fuck RHCP really.

HWM: I need to give these guys a listen as I feel looks it’s bands I need to know and I should listen to them.

There’s more to it, but basically a lot of info has come out about Max and Sherri home life the past couple years. The only two things I remember off the top of my head is that they apparently don’t send their kids to school and they also had CPS called on them at one point.
