I first heard of Matt Rife like a week ago when a friend had his special on. Painfully unfunny. Had another friend who said they got tix to see him and then cancelled when they saw how unfunny his special is. So I guess he was big on TikTok and it turns out he doesn’t have the goods as a standup so that’s why everyone’s dunking on him right now?

 

Yes, that and he also seems to have pivoted to a weird right-wing-adjacent crowd

That David Cross special was surprisingly good IMHO.

 

I haven’t seen it yet but David Cross is always solid.

 

so apparently the David Cross special is $15 on it's own but if you subscribe to Veeps (which is $12/month) you can watch it and everything else on their site

might pull the plug on a month since Blair Socci's new special (which is also $15 on it's own) is on there as well

 

will def check out Veeps for Blair and the upcoming Menzingers set, has anyone given it a spin?

Stavvy's special was so good. King of crowd work and dick jokes.

I think it may be his crowd work, or how much his material is about explicit sex stuff or his fat guy confidence, but Stavvy kind of reminds me of Patrice a little bit.

New Stavvy was good. Saw some of the material live last year. Wish he did more crowd work in it.
