It's the same. FSU had a chance to play better and they didn't.

but they still WON. EVERY TIME Georgia didn’t win by a big margin they didn’t get penalized. Or Bama.

    That loss to Oklahoma, obviously.

So did Liberty. Wins have never been the one single significant stat for me. Said this in 2012 with Notre Dame, 2014 with FSU, 2015 with Oklahoma AND Michigan State, again with Notre Dame in 2018, 2021 with Cincinnati. Said it about TCU too and granted they did beat Michigan but 65-7 is 65-7.

but then like, what actually changed over the weekend? I don't get how them beating OSU improves their resume any more than FSU beating Louisville does.

Because FSU looked terrible against Louisville and Texas dominated OkST.

Alabama-USF was the worst game of the entire season by any team

if you think louisville or clemson are as bad as arkansas or auburn, you’re worse at analyzing college football than you have already proven yourself to be lol

because of posts like the one above saying FSU beat Louisville so why did they get jumped. or all the posts mentioning FSU being undefeated.

FSU’s defense looked terrible? They still won with a third string QB.

    I never said that.

Their defense looked good. Their offense looked bad. The game is played on both sides and they needed to prove they were capable of being a top team with that third string QB and they very obviously were not.

100%. Daquan Evans gave one of the best performances of the season by any player though. That was fun.

If I'm Florida state, I'm sitting out the orange bowl or whatever. They're justifiably pissed

I would've been okay with them picking any of ut, Bama or Georgia....but leaving fsu is just, idk, it's wrong. Especially since they scheduled an opening game against LSU

If I'm FSU, I'm playing the Orange Bowl and going 100% the entire game and trying to win 100-0. Prove the doubters wrong.

I'm a Georgia fan through and through, and that game just has all the makings of a mess. Half of the rosters will be on the sideline, FSU is going to be infuriated to be there.

For the record, these arguments against Bama making it over FSU also apply to Texas (1 loss champ over undefeated) and would be applicable even if it was Tex-3, FSU-4, which everyone was ok with.
