It's just the six highest ranked i'm pretty sure. So like, theoretically it could be SMU, Liberty, Troy, Miami (OH), Boise State, and Florida State.

its the six conference champs that are highest ranked, not the conference champs from the six highest ranked conferences

 

I don’t think you can say right now that Bama is not one of the four best teams. This is a vastly improved team from that Texas game. This is going to come down to best vs deserving. I have a hard time believing a team with a 3rd string QB in a year where all the teams are this close is one of the 4 best, though they may be deserving if they win.

I forgot that was Alsott's nickname as well. I wonder who had it first? Alstott hit the NFL about the same time Thomas started at Michigan.

I was telling my mom this morning why Iowa beating Michigan (her dad’s team) would be funny and said the word “punts” no less than 12 times.

 

FSU should be left out of the playoffs for this broadcast alone. Why is it splitscreen and why are all the commercials from 2003

 

Having grown up in Tampa, I legit have never heard of the Michigan player

 

You need to go the ABC broadcast. The ESPN feed is the split screen I believe.

 

Anthony Thomas was a beast for Michigan from like 1997 to 2000(2001?). He played for the Bears out of college and won the Offensive Rookie of the Year but then fell completely off in the pros.
