Isn’t this the stretch where Ewers was injured and now he’s back and they’re back to being their best? Teams shouldn’t be punished for winning tough games.

and Bama nearly lost to Arkansas... not to mention they wouldn't even be in this position if Auburn didn't shit the bed

That stretch was September through the 18th of November. And also yes, teams should be "punished" for consistently playing down to weak opponents.

Yeah, Alabama looked rough at the beginning of the year and then Milroe kept getting better every game. Mississippi, Tennessee, LSU, and Georgia were all decisive wins. Texas's most impressive game after Alabama was either losing to Oklahoma or being four years away from losing to Kansas State. Four top 20 win vs. 1 top 25.

I have it on good authority that if you lose your conference championship you are no longer a great team so it would have to be Washington-FSU-Texas-Iowa.

lol I know you are joking it would be Bama not Iowa.

It’s fun to look at how next year would be with these teams assuming Michigan and FSU win.

    Byes:

    1) Michigan
    2) Washington
    3) FSU
    4) Texas

    5) Alabama
    12) Oklahoma

    6) Georgia
    11) Mississippi

    7) Ohio State
    10) Penn State

    8) Oregon
    9) Missouri

Two rematches in the opening round.

Oh, they’re guaranteeing them one? After Cincinnati shat the bed, figured they’d learned their lesson.

Man, I still can’t believe THIS Bama team took down Georgia and ended their steak.

    Michigan
    Washington
    Texas
    Bama

It’s easy to me. ACC just seems too terrible to include.

    According to the NCAA website:

The new 12-team College Football Playoff field will include the six highest-ranked conference champions, which will receive automatic bids. The top four teams will receive a first-round bye to the quarterfinals.

The six highest-ranked teams remaining will round out the 12-team format.

how does this work with the Pac-2 tho lol

I wonder if they have to announce who those six conferences are at the beginning of each season now.
