I still believe Meteora’s sequencing belongs in the conversation with Sgt. Pepper and Dark Side of the Moon.

I wouldn’t count on him admitting anything even if it brings the penalty down. The dude seems to prioritize the grift and sticking to his delusions in order to appease his audience and maintain his persecuted patriot status.

 

SOAD was also my first introduction to political stuff. I know they got lumped in with nu-metal but I think they were just rock/metal tbh. Yeah Serj did weird vocal stylings and sung fast at times but they weren't realllly rapping or having those turntable sounds and etc. They sounded a lot different to me compared to the other "nu metal" bands of the time, both the rap-rock ones and the more cock rock sounding ones like staind or whatever

Linkin Park was my first "favorite" band. I still spin their first four records regularly. Big loss for the music world. Seeing them in Okinawa, Japan in 2009 is a core memory for me. Ironically never got to see them in the states.

I heard youth of the nation on XM last week and was like wow hadn’t heard this in years lol. I always enjoyed that song. Was never as into their other big singles at the time.

I did enjoy their rock version of Awnaw though
