No California date makes me think Coachella likely

No Northwest dates makes me think how typical

Hoping they’re there. Last time they played there my fiancée made me watch The Neighborhood instead and they were so bad lol

Yeah I was at that bleachers set and they were amazing as ever

thought they'd be bigger than playing the anthem at this point but will definitely go to that

Bummed about this too. Hoping there's a bigger tour coming down the line.

Very torn between Boston and shadow of the city. On one hand one is a 10 min Uber and I felt too old to be at SotC in 2021. On the other hand it’s hard to pass up the chance to see a band in their most peak setting. V interested in the lineup

I went to Shadow of the City in 2017 and felt ancient. Meanwhile I was only 30.

Same. During khalid I felt like a chaperone lol. Then it felt like the place really cleared out. I had a blast though. Jack guest listed me as a wedding gift!

Haha yup I got there a little bit before Khalid’s set and felt so out of place. Definitely cleared out for Brian Fallon and then the place was just a damn good time for Andrew McMahon and Bleachers.

But that’s so sick of Jack! What a cool gift/experience.

Back then he was just casually walking around at points with Lena Dunham. Not sure if he’s done that in the two times he’s held the festival since (obviously without Dunham), but I’d be surprised if he could do that now without being completely swarmed.

I tried to get Jack in the dunk tank at SOTC 2017. "Wild pitch" would be putting it lightly.

Tried for tickets at Met and they went fast. Really only wanted GA. Bummed.

Still think this song rules. I guess I’m officially a Jack stan.

  17. “Alma Mater” live with just acoustic guitar and sax was spectacular. A totally different side of that song and much better than the studio version.

I met him a few times during Steel Train/fun and can confirm he was super chill. That was also a million years ago so what do I know

  21. During the show a couple weeks ago, I was thinking about the continuity between Steel Train and Bleachers and how fun. feels increasingly like a side step in Jack's career and not the defining thing that it was at the time. Interesting that he kind of describes it the same way in that interview.

Great interview, and kind of required reading for anyone who has loved bleachers but has been feeling some burnout around him being literally everywhere. Really comes across as a way more normal dude than popular opinion has framed him for the last couple years.

Maybe I’ll get into Bleachers with this one.

  25. Alma Mater is becoming one of my favorite Bleachers songs -- I think it rules
