Reminds me of their b-sides album. Title said it was “45 or 46 songs” and there were actually 47.

I would love for more experiences like this to happen… but they’ve got to figure it out a little more.

I don't understand why they'd block THAT particular arena in London. There are other arenas/big event spaces. Unless it would displace a certain neighborhood?

are we still lucky to be here? Prestigious

Considering the financials behind the Vegas one, London might be saving themselves a lot of heartache.

I think there were concerns over gentrification of the neighborhood as well.

I had heard rumors that they were scouting a location in Indianapolis (wish that had been true) but it looks like LDB has found its first consistent venue since the skatepark days.

also think it’s interesting that they specifically mentioned Triple B records in this post. I’m expecting a shit ton of Triple B bands now.

Also, everyone brace yourself for articles around "insane dynamic pricing" for the Rolling Stones shows over the next few weeks.

i somehow scored like $59 tix for the show at the Rose Bowl back in 2019 directly from Ticketmaster, but with everything goin on these days with concert prices and such I'm sure this will NOT be possible this time around, haha

The fees aren't even going to be below $59 for these shows.

maybe the old people who want to see the stones will get congress to finally change these insane ticket fees

    oh who am I kidding

Mitch McConnell is gonna queue up for pit tickets and be flummoxed as to why there are $2k each.

In 2021 I didn’t pay as much as I expected to pay for the stones tbh

Saw them in 2018 and they were pretty damn great. Got tickets at the very top of the stadium for like $80. No interest in seeing them again but def do it if the prices aren't too crazy.

I would assume it'll probably be at least $150 to get in. Don't to sound morbid but maybe prices won't be as bad since they have one less OG member to split the tour earnings with?

I’ll pay whatever since it’s a bucket list item for me. Probably try for a pit ticket and go solo. Too expensive to pay to drag my wife along

I hope when I'm 50 I'm able to move as well as Mick Jagger currently does at 80

I saw the Suicide Machines at a 1,200 capacity venue in the fall of 2003. I think it was booked with the assumption that demand would be high following the Warped Tour stint they did that summer, the new album, the tour being sponsored by Vans, etc. The venue choice was fine but man, the Suicide Machines should not have been headlining...

The show started at like, 2 in the afternoon with a battle of the bands thing... And was packed. Then the tour-opener played and a bunch of the "I'm just there to see my friend's bands play" people left. Then the Unseen played and everybody with mohawks/leather jackets left after them. Then Avenged Sevenfold played and everybody with ear gauges and white belts left.

...Which left me and like, 30 people standing there waiting for the Suicide Machines to get on-stage. About 30 seconds into the first song, Jay said "fuck it, this is a hall show now" and performed the rest of the show in the crowd. Easily one of the coolest show experiences I've ever had.

I saw Forgive Durden at Chain Reaction and it was just me, my GF, and one of the band member's immediate family. That was pretty sad.

    Couple more:

Mark Rose of Spitalfield to a dozen people. Straylight Run at the end when they were a 3-piece to 2 dozen people.

I went to a couple of tapings for a local music show (JBTV) that had pretty much no one there. I think there were about 8 of us for Strung Out and I think about a dozen for Street Dogs.

I also saw Good Charlotte play to a pretty small crowd in 2010 at a free Ribfest in a parking lot by the Chicago River. It poured and destroyed the setlist. If I remember correctly, they just started taking requests at that point.

  24. Like 10 years ago, I saw Saves The Day in Utah in front of maybe 50 people. Probably more like 30-35.

Although I feel bad for the bands because it basically means they aren’t going to make any money, I love those super small shows when it’s bands I really like.

I saw Jimmie’s Chicken Shack a month or two ago with like 20-30 people, and everyone had a great time. Haha.

Small intimate shows >>> sold out club/arena shows.

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

I saw Rome Ramirez play a solo show about a decade ago at the old music venue near my hometown. It was only a 400 cap venue (but typically got some big-ish names) but the show itself was maybe a quarter full? He was touring to tease a solo album and played nothing but songs from it. The funny thing is, he never ended up releasing that album

I was actually kind of surprised since Sublime/Sublime with Rome are huge up in that area and fill up the big venues up there. I thought that show would’ve been packed.
