When We Were Young Festival (Las Vegas) Tour • Page 166

  1. I believe “$20 down” means you can pay $20 now and make monthly payments rather than paying it all up front.

Yeah xx down always means a down payment

  3. Which is its own kind of scummy marketing, but that’s a whole other discussion.

I don't think that specific part is scummy marketing, paying xx down for something is incredibly common and if you don't know what that means, it's kinda on you

19.99 is down payment if you want

I think corporations coming up with ways to take advantage of people, and ensuring they spend money that they cant afford vs making it more affordable, is the scummy part. This is a big expense regardless, but the fact that anything can go on a payment plan these days is sort of insane. At the end of the day, its personal decisions and financial discipline, but it definitely can be veiwed as predatory.

    Sending my love

People’s inability to understand what “tickets start at 19.99 down” means does not make it predatory. Let’s not get carried away and sanitize what those words mean. Choosing to attend a festival is 1000% optional and nobody is forcing anything on anybody here. It’s also giving way too much credit to people who are too careless to read all the words in a sentence.

The $19.99 downpayment seemed pretty straightforward. I thought that was a pretty standard practice for a big fest like this

People on Reddit are complaining about a bunch and it just me how bad of reading comprehension a large amount people have

I misread, my bad. My comment was solely based on the prevelance of payment plans these days and the pros and cons of that. I thought that was the discussion, not what a down payment meant.

Still stand by the tier scheme being bullshit when the whole thing is guaranteed by precedent to sell out both days within hours of each going on sale.. No reason for it except to hide the pricing.

Poor JT Woodruff, their album is 43 minutes long, if they get 45-50 minutes then he won't be able to do his TED talk

  12. They have 90 minutes. So they’ll be pushing it but will still be fine.

The 5th stage is returning and it’s just HH playing 11 songs with JT talking between from 11am to midnight

Btw... yes I'm still talking about 2023 because I'm in total withdrawal mode..

When did Plain White Ts become a purely acoustic/Jason Mraz band? I was waiting for mxpx and caught a few songs by these guys and thats the vibe I was getting. I'm not a huge fan of theirs but I could've sworn they had regular pop punk songs too? What gives

random thought with various WWWY memories swirling in my head: where the hell is Unwritten Law on any of these bills? the band is kind of/somewhat active and did just release an album, so their absence is weird

Not scene enough. They're more Sick New World imo, based on public perception.
