I really have no idea where this Baby is being Passed. There's no predicting this song!

There are very few times these days that I listen to a new album and nearly every song stands out, that there is this kind of perfect diversity, on first listen. Usually it takes me 2-3 to really let an album sink in, but I am already so impressed with this

I just audibly gasped when the guitars kicked in on Pass the Baby.

I love this band, I really do. But I never would have expected something this good from them in 2016. Totally misjudged and am extremely happy for it. I'm going to gush about this album a lot, I can tell. Deal with it.

I'm actually in disbelief after finishing this album. The sonic experimentation in this album is part of why I loved Futures. This album almost feels at peace in a way. Its cohesive. And the bass work, the drums, the lyrics, the vocals... my god. This completely knocks Damage and Invented out of the ballpark, and possibly CTL. Going to let it set in some more since I'm in the most intense honeymoon phase ever, but wow.

I'm too tired to really articulate any thoughts right now, but yeah.... the album's fantastic. I'm not surprised at all, and yet it'll never not shock me how seemingly effortlessly they pull it off. More later

This album may easily find its way in my top 3 between Clarity and Futures.

    Time will tell.

    Fuck.

I'm glad they aren't breaking up, but this is the kind of album that I wish bands would go out on haha. I know that probably makes no sense

It totally makes sense. A magnum opus. Go out with a bang not a whimper.

Hopefully we'll be lucky enough to have them around for a few more still...but whatever happens, I can trust that The End Is Beautiful.

It really feels like a refinement of what this band has gone through. It's incredibly diverse but flows perfectly

    After the first listen:

-The "experimentation" on this album actually works. It's just the right amount and they execute it very well.

-Jim's vocals are prime time on this whole album. He sounds great and his lyrics are fantastic.

-Early Fav's: "Through" (By far my favorite), then theres "Pass The Baby" and "The End is Beautiful" (TEIB....:-O)

-Disappointment: I wish there was another fast song or two on the album. The album is pretty flat tempo wise to me.

    Overall: :heart:it.

A fast song wouldn't fit on this record at all and I don't think it suffers at all from all songs being more mid tempo

Oh, I definetly think it works, but as a fan I've always been more drawn to JEW's faster, in your face, songs more than anything else. Thats why I love Futures and CTL so much. Those albums have a little of everything in that regard.

Maybe when I hear "My Enemy" I'll throw it in the mix. That song is suppose to be a little faster, isn't it?
