I have two exams tomorrow that I need to (try to) continue studying for, and I have no time to listen tomorrow either. Plus first listens are very important to me and I have a long drive to make on Friday morning so I'll be listening then! This is so tempting though.. haha

That really heavy riff they posted when the album was first announced finally makes sense... I'm really digging this so far (just passed that bit)

 

The end is beautiful is pretty nice

Pretty Grids makes sense for where it is in the sequence so far... kinda feels like it fills the role that Higher Devotion did for Invented, even though the songs sound nothing alike.

Album is fantastically cohesive so far.

 

WOW through is catchy as fuck

 

Through is my favorite so far I think wow this song is fucking good

 

The title track is really different and super cool.

They experiment on this record more than they have in a very very long time. Most of these songs are unlike anything they've ever done. The singles are the most standard jimmy tracks here by far

 

Pass the Baby is one of the coolest fucking songs this band has ever done. The way it builds and builds. MAN.

this song is unreal, I have wanted more of this since Stay on My Side Tonight and good lord does it deliver

Pass My Baby is insane. Get It Right also sounds even better within the context of the album

 

Cool that you said this because after hearing the singles I was beginning to think the press was overreacting over how different this record is from their older stuff haha
