I’d never wish a career of exclusively Marvel material on any promising creative talent. I hope she keeps having a fun and creatively fulfilling time with Marvel for as long as she wants, but I’d be so sad & disappointed if she reached her 30s having never done anything else.

I'm with Tim on this one. Clearly she should do what she wants and what makes her happy, but her career is just starting, so it would be a shame if she spent all that time in the service of one franchise and then get to an age where it's too late to undo that.

Saw it this afternoon. Surprised at all the Iman love. The few people I have talked to found her so annoying to the point where it almost ruins the movie (for what it's worth I don't mind her).

This was very very okay. Enjoyed it more than Quantamania and Love & Thunder but I think that's because I came in expecting to dislike this, whereas I wanted to love those ones.

My theatre was maybe a third full. There was not a single laugh, gasp, or any sign of emotion the entire time until the post credit scene.

So now that Carol is in the South, could she come across a young Rogue?

That would make a very cool story for a Captain Marvel 3.

Watched this today in a fairly empty theatre, had the week off and went to a Noon showing.

Painfully unfunny lines from Kamala were so poorly written, I cringed for her having to say some of this stuff.

Would like to see her in a different genre of film. Haven’t been able to truly enjoy a MCU film since No Way Home. Kind of hoping for a hard reset or some more isolated stories.

Truly a movie that doesn't need to exist in anyway and though there were some enjoyable moments, all scenes with any emotional impact were stale and thrown off by the sloppy and often cring-inducing dialogue of the rest of the movie.

I really like Kamala, but they are going far too hard into some of the "teenage socially awkward" trope.

The credits sequence was horrible and one of the worst ways to introduce the X-Men. I'm sick of the "it's just another variant/version" crap they keep throwing at us. I was painfully obvious they needed to get butts in seats and also introduce the X-Men as quickly as possible after Multiverse of Madness so they just squeezed this in as clumsily as they could.

saw this last night and six people walked out, most before half way. its very clearly been hacked to piece, it felt so rushed. and just what the hell was that nick fury b-story. a total mess of a movie. brie looks like she was there under gun point

There were moments where Brie was pretty good and I'm a Brie fan, but that point where she was explaining what happened to Monica, she was so flat with her performance.

It's clearly studio interference and it's bad that most of these characters and actors, which could be good, are going to be so forgettable in the long run

I really loved the first fight scene with them all switching places and destroying Kamala's house.

Thought this was super fun. Humor worked for me, fight scenes were fun. Stakes didn’t mean anything but they almost never do.

Marvel had their lowest reviewed film and their lowest box office film in 2023. They gotta turn it around. People are getting burnt out.
