Kodak was my introduction to the band and I love that record. Wasn’t sure what to expect after that record and I’m just finishing up my first listen and I think this eventually may top it

Yeah; I can see this eventually topping Kodak for me too.

Only listened twice today and it was good. Will reserve further opinions for a few more listens. Definitely not floored or anything. Felt this way about Kodak too though and I love it now.

I’m really liking this so far. Its not the album that I wanted but it’s the album I needed. It’s subtler with not as many bangers but I’m really vibing with it. It fits the cooler fall weather.

In Cursive’s bridge at 2:28 sounds a lot like the pre-chorus on Manchester Orchestra’s The Gold

The way Sleep Paralysis starts makes me think of Greet Death

Yeah it’s all good to very good, but it doesn’t really have any “wow” moments.

I find with a lot of Nathans songs they don’t immediately sound catchy but over time you realize how great they are.

This album title isn't doing itself any favors in my iTunes with the other self titled....

That’s a good way to say it. He really writes some ear worms. He’s a master of melody

  10. In Cursive at 2:44 - okay this is just straight up Manchester Orchestra’s The Gold with different lyrics lol.

In cursive is such a great song, almost perfectly describes how I met my wife. Nate and I discussed this and it turns out our stories are very similar!

had this on repeat all weekend. they nailed that slow burner, somber tone on this one. perfect for the time of year, too

is it the same for you? Prestigious

It hasn't fully clicked yet, but I can tell that it will sometime before the end of the year.

definitely before the vinyl arrives in another lifetime

Been able to listen through this a few times and I'm loving it so far. Sleep Paralysis is the only track that doesn't do much for me yet, but I'm sure it'll get there. The lyrical content is really vibing with where I've been at emotionally lately, so it's a very comforting record.

I’ve been trying not to overplay this before the vinyl arrives, but dang… 3+ mos. is a loooooong time.

I guess they just wanted to release digitally, at least, while on this current tour with TDH instead of waiting until after the new year? Just trying to wrap my head around rolling out like this….

This is a pretty nice album here, I feel like it's the most I've enjoyed them in a while. That being said, they still will just forever feel like a more basic Manchester Orchestra, which is fine and enjoyable, but I don't think I'd listen to them over MO when wanting to listen to this type of music

They do bear some resemblance to MO at times, but I surely feel different listening to them both. No need to choose what I'd need to listen to over the other one, but I am definitely more into this kind of music though.

I still am constantly playing this album after several months. It has so many nuanced moments that I keep coming back for. Putting it on right now.

Yeah this snuck up on me. Realized today I’ve been listening to it almost every day and how much I love it. I think I like it slightly more than No Bouquet at this point and way more than Kodak. Their first two albums and Movement EP are unbeatable.

Nate just uploaded an update to his Patreon saying that he’s already starting to write for the next record. Bless.
