i was in vegas a few weeks ago on a non-U2 show night and my buddy and i looked at how much it would be to go see "the sphere experience" (some special film made by darren aronofsky) and tickets were $170 before fees. umm, $200 for a 90 immersive film from the guy who did The Whale? i don't think so.

 

Hahaha wow arenas and sheds.

That Brooklyn show is gonna be listed for pennies the days leading up to it.

 

Barclays?! Are they insane? Yes, tickets will be $5 leading up to the date

 

Of course the FL dates are on Wednesday and Thursday.

 

I've been itching to see AFI live again, but glad that tour isn't relatively close. Would rather hold out for their own headliner.

 

last time 30 seconds played Budweiser, they barely filled up the 300s section

definitely gonna wait for the Groupon deal to see the supports and then bail early :)

 

30 Seconds to Mars have contributed two positive things to society:

(1) The song "From Yesterday." It fucking slaps.
(2) That joke from the movie Pop Star about how it's a band and not a unit of measurement.

 

that whole scene (movie) is unreal. I’m glad it’s getting a second life!

 

Morgan Wade went to my high school in bumfuck Appalachia, it's really cool to see her on this flyer opening for 2 women that are so important to alt music & pop-culture

I paid $95 after fees for it on the Monday after WWWYF and it was really cool. Got to experience the Sphere for what it is and didn't have to pay to see U2.

 

i was more making a DA joke - i like him as a film maker. But $200 for a 90 minute movie, even a crazy immersive one, is too rich for my blood. even in vegas.

I hear that. I was just in Vegas and the closest I got to the sphere was the Ferris wheel (which was dope - really sweet views) I wouldn't pay $200 either, but I DO think it'd be worth it. DA seems like a good fit for experimental technology like that.

 

Yeah, we were supposed to hit up the the wheel but my buddy got on a hot streak at the blackjack table and so we bailed. Luckily it won't be my last vegas stop....
