"Our Time Now" was in all the commercials for Greek, which apparently somehow ran four seasons.

 

Greek is awful. That PWT song though is good

 

PWT are fine. They've made more money from corporate gigs no one has heard about over the last 10 years than I'll make in my lifetime.

 

I keep misreading "PWT" as "PTW" and now I just really want to see video of Poison the Well playing a corporate gig.

 

PWTs prolly made decent money licensing Hey There Delilah out to tv and movies, so I think they're fine with small venues with only their diehards.

I hung out with them pre-fame and they were cool as hell so I'm always rooting for them.

 

Even at their height, they didn't headline very big venues

Everclear is my go-to analogy for this; they had 3 straight platinum albums, big radio hits & played to thousands every night. 5-10 years later they couldn't fill a 500 cap room, it happens. But they can also book sick Summerland tour lineups that get several thousand people to a shed. I see Hawthorne Heights taking that similar approach with being realistic about their draw while trying to make a living playing music

 

It opened on September 29th, the fiscal quarter ended September 30th, so this isn't really shocking/was anyone expecting they would make a profit?

The article says they generated $4.1 million in ticket sales from the two U2 shows that happened in the quarter.
