I really love the s/t and its singular downer vibe (and lush expensive guitars)

 

Minerva and Battle-Axe are so hypnotic. Love them both so much

 

S/T is so good and has a few of my faves. Needles and Pins, WGTB, Battle-Axe, Bloody Caps… so many slappers

 

Also, I just noticed that Cherry Waves has 100 mil+ streams on Spotify. That’s insane. I remember cherishing that song so much as a slept-upon deep cut. Wild what TikTok can do.


EDIT: Just to clarify, I love the song still and it’s still one of my faves. I’m glad it’s getting the attention it deserves. But I sure as hell wasn’t expecting it to explode like that!

 

Tik Tok culture resulting in bands getting insane plays in streaming is something that still blows my mind.

 

I keep seeing more and more of their songs on different edits. Pretty cool.

 

As this point I'm more pissed at them for what they did to Sergio collectively than Steph's shitty but directly harmless anti-vax/flat earth views. That's where I'm at.

Not getting to see Sergio perform the Ohms stuff live sucks so much. He brought his best work on that album.

At least he went out on a high note, I guess.

 

It sucked seeing what happened to Sergio, but I'm choosing to have less opinions about some situations like this because I have to remember that I don't know any of these guys personally, I don't know the band politics, I don't know the money situation or if there's other reasons for not making him a full-time member, etc. I know what it looks like, but it seems silly for me to have an opinion on a situation I couldn't be further away from.

 

I remember similar feelings among fans when they started touring without Chi not too long after the accident, saying they should wait, they weren't being supportive of him etc.

Always weirded me out that people felt entitled to tell the band what to do about their friend of 20 years.
