Dreamcatcher is on both AM and Spotify, but Missed isn’t. You can find it on the America’s Hardcore comp from 2010. It’s the earlier version before they re-recorded for the Missed single/vinyl.

Yeah, I don't like the 100% no answers, it seems to make people think a band was falsely capitalizing on a farewell tour (Anberlin, Balance and Composure) when that most likely wasn't the case. Fireworks kept the door open and I liked that approach.

 

I think most bands are sincere when they say they are 100% done and disband. And for whatever duration, I think that is the intention. However, those are often fresh feelings and time, space, and perspective have a way of changing/heeling over time. Nothing wrong with that.

 

Agreed. I haven't seen many band break ups where I don't think they'll get back together at some point... mewithoutYou is somewhat believable due to age and what the members are doing. I fully believe ETID will play a show again at some point.

 

Keeping the door open is how bands should do it if they decide not to play anymore. No need for absolutes.

Is Title Fight popular on TikTok or something? I don’t listen to them very often and I noticed that they have 1.4 million monthly listeners on Spotify. I don’t remember them ever having that many. I’m not on TikTok so I don’t really know what goes on over there

 

Yeah its a weird anomaly and all it takes is one song. Superheaven has been getting a huge bump this year from Youngest Daughter going viral on there for example. I have no clue how or why any of this happens.

 

Title Fight are also starting to become the mystic "larger than life" defunct emo/hardcore band. Might be slight hyperbole, but kind of like how American Football was talked about before they got back together.

EDIT: I'll also add that I was doing my typical millennial thing and getting lost in Instagram reels and was randomly suggested a video of someone playing Head in the Ceiling Fan acoustically, so maybe there is something to the viral hit happening too.

 

I've seen 2 Head in the Ceiling Fan related videos/posts on my explore page over the last week.
