Newcastle's heads are absolutely gone. HT saved them at least one red.

Just saw the elbow, imo that should be a long ban. Just pure intent to hurt another player with no mitigating circumstances.

Don't see why those kind of challenges shouldn't be a red at half time, tbh.

is that something they’d give out after the game after further review? Kind of like how they reverse red cards after further review?

Absolutely agree. If you have a player on the pitch that has deliberately tried to hurt an opposing player they shouldn’t be let back out onto the pitch.

Especially when it comes to head contact, if football actually cared about head injuries.

That's never a red for me. Normal reaction when a player comes into your path while you're sprinting. He also did not hit him with the elbow, but with the arm. Yellow, yes, but never a red.

This explanation doesn’t apply to the situation though. bruno is running towards the arsenal player and the arsenal player’s back is turned to Bruno

But the Arsenal player is slightly moving into his path. For me thats just a normal reaction to put your arm out to soften the collision

Into his path to kick the ball. The Arsenal player knows nothing about Bruno’s approach yet Bruno’s eyes are locked in on the Arsenal player the entire time and raises his elbow and aims and pushes his arm through. clear intent.

completely agree, but that does not negate my point

It does though. Your point is that it’s normal defense. My point is that it’s abnormal attack.

you run towards the ball and theres an opponent left to you. Now this opponent - without seeing you - moves into your path. The normal reaction is to raise the arm for protection. It's a foul and a yellow, but never a red.

In other news, we should lead at least 0-4 by now. Hope it doesn't fire back

agree to disagree. Intent + head injury = red to me.

I know I’m biased but there is absolutely no way that goal should have stood.

there was no intent to hurt the opponent but just to protect himself. You can see no active hit towards the head.

    Biggest steal of the season

edit: right after Spurs’ win over LIV haha

    It's all hell.

Fuck that was so frustrating. We look so much worse without Odegaard and with Raya and Havertz in the team.

Bruno is a Bepe from Eastenders lookalike motherfucker.

Rice had to work twice as hard to make up for Havertz’s lack of hustle. Man of the match imo.
