I remember taking a field trip to a landfill. They said that's where our hopes and dreams end up.

They didn't really*, but I'm sure that's what they were thinking.

*The hopes and dreams part. The trip was real.

 

We went to the zoo and a nuclear power plant.

 

We went to my teacher's family farm (the actual butter churning was a different field trip to a local historic mansion).

 

We went to a sewage treatment plant and an actual cardboard box factory.

 

I don't remember 3rd grade but 5th I know we went to the okc branch of the federal reserve which was cool

 

New Englander here and we took a trip to a restored school house and spent the day there role-playing the late 1800s time period. Kids got to take turns wearing the Dunce cap and a few kids had to be "disciplined" and taken to the back room where the teacher pretended to strike them with a long pointer (but was actually hitting a pillow while the student mockingly screamed as if they were in pain).

We went to Independence Hall at Knott's Berry Farm since it was the closest to a colonial town.

Obviously we were all pissed we didn't get to go into the park and ride the rides.

 

I honestly don't remember what field trips we did in K-3. I truly don't remember them off the top of my head, if there were any at all. I would assume we probably did a trip to the zoo but who knows?

I do remember in 4th grade doing NYC, we went and saw Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. This was prime DX times so got a few pictures of me and my friends doing the DX crotch chop along the shore of New York harbor lmao

I can't remember where/if we went anywhere for 5th grade. I went to DC at SOME point during these 4th-6th grade years, it could have been 5th but have no idea.

6th grade since it was the last year of elementary school so they did a big entire grade multiday trip to a camp on the Eastern Shore in Maryland. That was an awesome trip.

 

They weren't assembled there. That's done in Flint, Michigan.
