Listened to that Jason Hawk Harris album a few more times and it reminds me a lot of the Purple Mountains album from a few years back. The sounds aren’t really similar, more so how the subject matter is all so just so heavy front to back and never lets up. Most of the songs here are about losing his mother to cancer, and even though it’s well done, it’s a tough listen at times.

Saw Shania last night. Exactly what you’d expect from her so late in her career, but man, the huge singles popped off and took me right back to being a kid.

 

Was excited to see this pop up this morning. Her album from earlier this year has really become a favorite of mine lately.

Really great new Willy Tea Taylor album out today. His first in 8 years!

 

Was beyond pumped for the new Flatland Cavalry that dropped today but thats gonna have to be a grower I think. Not as immediately taken to it like their last album.

 

New albums today from Jeffrey Martin and Jaime Wyatt! Been looking forward to both of these for a while.

 

Update: this is good. Band is the best in the biz right now.

 

New album from Russell Dickerson

 

Very excited for this. Saw him last week and he played most of the new album and it all sounded great. He seems to have really went in a more southern rock direction with this one.

 

john r. miller record is good, just wish it had like 5% more energy

 

I love the record but that’s always one of my gripes with his live show too. He sounds great but the guy shows almost no emotion.

You should check out the new Willy Tea Taylor album. Kinda occupies the same space as John R. Miller but has a little more punch to it.

 

yeah, he kinda reminds me of a more country/less folk andy shauf. great songs but a full length can be a bit sleepy.

Jake Kohn coming out swinging. Insane for 16 years old.

 

New Sam Outlaw song is pretty fun. Seems like the new record might be a lot more country than the last

 

Just finished Reservation Dogs and a song by an artist I wasn’t familiar with, Ken Pomeroy, caught my ear. Feel like she’d appeal to some of y’all. Her voice/musical style reminds me of a different artist I can’t quite put my finger on. Anyway, good stuff. Here’s one I particularly like.
