If we’ve all seen the same unspeakable rumor… it has potential, but at the same time, I’m still lukewarm on Marvel Studios for now.

 

To appease the crowds that are eagerly awaiting for things to become more connected, I suppose. It was apparently filmed and added last minute.

You guys are freaking me out because now I'm scared something happened with a particular actor that I don't know about.

 

I think this person is known as kind of an asshole but idk of any specific like, allegations or anything

The person you could potentially be talking about was perfectly cast as their character so if they're reprising the role, I'm 100% behind it and I'm weirded out that you're not.

As I said, perfect casting. If he's an asshole, that just fits the character more.

it has been a long time since I've seen it so don't really remember his performance

Gonna do what I hate and make a long post with more than one paragraph behind a spoiler tag, ‘cause why not, lol.

I personally do not think it matters whether or not his first appearance was in a bad movie. The point is that they’re making the mainline universe cross over with the original Fox X-Men universe. And, this Beast is part of that universe. Picking him to be the first to cameo over, say, Rogue is kinda weird, but whatever. (I mean, for all we know, having a furry blue character could’ve been useful for strike reasons, lol.)

It’ll be interesting to see what version they use of the universe, given the various timelines and contradictions. My gut feeling is that the world seen at the end of Days of Future Past makes the most sense.

My only hang-up, outside of vague Marvel Studios ambivalence, is that the confirmed movie playing in a similar space before Secret Wars is Deadpool. And, I’m sorry, but Levy’s Deadpool does NOT excite me, lol. But hey, maybe there will be some movie using this stuff that I’ll see and dig! X2 is still a top two live action Marvel for me; seeing old X-Men shit will make me smile, however superficially.
