Oh shit new album?

 

Correct and also the best album ever made.

 

I'd have 59 Sound then Elsie second.

Sink or Swim, American Slang and Handwritten could all be third depending on my mood. Usually it's Handwritten.

Of the true solo albums I'd say Sleepwalkers (highest highs), Painkillers (so many great tunes) then Local Honey just feels like a less interesting version of Elsie to me unfortunately.

 

It's out in Oz and first listen was really enjoyable. I Live In The Room Above Her stood out melodically.

I can't wait to dive in more. One thing about the production is that the melodies and intricacies (and even lyrics somewhat) seem to take a few listens to hit. I like the singles more every listen.

I've had to pick my least favorite song on The '59 Sound for two podcasts, and 1) I cannot remember which song I chose either time, and 2) know I felt bad about whatever I chose on both occasions. I think it was either "Film Noir" or "Casanova Baby," and I love both of those songs!
