VIP last year was 100x better. Couldn’t agree more about mainstage VIP being awful on Green’s side

I was unfamiliar with those beatbox drinks. Saw people chugging them all day. Sure enough towards the end of the day I see one on the ground and it reads “11% ABV” like WTF!?

  8. I'm definitely out of shape and have a bad back. I think the overall event the last two years has been great. But I think one thing adjacent did better than this is have it over two days (though being on sand really sucks!).

Just minor complaints overall. Still had a great time.

Agreed that two days would be much better. Fewer time conflicts too, and bands could play longer sets. But I'm not sure I could stomach $550+fees, and I'm sure others feel the same way, so I get why they cram it all into a single day and sell it twice.

Damn 30STM was a chore to sit through. I had front row for Blink in front of Mark and I didn't wanna leave

  12. Nice! I was 32,000th row in front of Travis!

Went on Saturday and had a blast.
    Cons:
    - spoiled by the breeze last year. It was HOT in the sun, especially waiting in line. Took about 90 minutes to get in so missed zebrahead and most of soco. Was way more efficient last year with entry.
    - long marathon of a day. (And a trip, just got home and im beat).

    Pros:
    - great sets.
-plenty of food drink. Had no trouble getting around and getting to good spots.

Fave sets: Hot Mulligan, blink, the offspring
Least fave set: good charlotte / 30 seconds to mars (though my buddy is a huge fan and we pushed up far, had some good stage theatrics but meh on their music).

Had a great time at the casinos. Crushed it on the last day and going home up just a smidge which ill happily take.

Definitely exhausted. Did basically the exact opposite of everything I did day 1 on the second day which made it feel like a completely different festival

STD was probably my favorite set day 2 but Sum 41 was also great. LTJ and Joyce were both great but the vibes were definitely off since the crowds were pretty empty. LTJ even started and ended early. Caught some blink songs in between that but was super far away.

I would definitely go again, I thought it was going to be a way worse festival experience and it was pretty much the standard I've had at everything I've gone to this year

I was shocked how many people left after Blink on Sunday, I’d say prob 20% of the crowd at least.

If I didn't go to the show I would've made fun of everyone for leaving early and be in total disbelief. How could you leave before the two huge headliners....two headliners whose GA tickets alone are more expensive than this entire festival

    But.....I get it lol

It was hard. Esleciallly if you're a mosher or in the pit hopping around all day. Every hop my brain said ow.

To be fair, it is hard to prep yourself for a two hour set at 10pm when you've been running around since 10am. Long and hot day, I could barely sing along by time blink hit the stage haha

I’d kind of preferred if they moved this fest out of Vegas and to a spot with on-site camping. It would make this fest sooooo much better if you could dip out and head back to your campsite to recharge, grab a snack, etc.

12 hour fests on a concrete parking lot are not ideal for anyone.

Both days of this were nothing compared to how bad Sick New World was with the heat and the crowd rush

  21. and i imagine the majority of the crowd was wearing all black and thick ass Jnco jeans in that heat too. woof!

The heat was definitely a killer for my buddy and I. I was feeling nauseous/dizzy/little trouble breathing after NFG (we were against one of the barricades in the back), and had to bail to find shade and sit for a bit which really helped. Saw a few people pass out, or just puking into barrels, lol.

Was a great day overall. Got there around 1015 and walked right up to the gates for our ID check, and was inside by 1045. Grabbed merch, filled our hydration packs, shoved things in the locker and made it to our first spot with plenty of time to watch the Ataris.

  23. One thing they should do next year is instead of a bunch of massive lines, there should be lines for people who want 21+ wrist bands and lines for people who do not. Or at least make it so you have to get a 21+ bracelet at the bar locations.

And have separate lines for people with bags and without bags, to help save time and keep things flowing.

It took over an hour for us to even show anyone our ticket to get inside and we didn't have bags and didn't want 21+ bracelets haha.

They should also have some people at the merch stand outside the gates to scan your tickets when you buy stuff. Give you a specific wristband, and have a dedicated line for you to breeze on through.

Thats how it was last year. The new ID check was slow this year, and id have prefered optional stations to do at your leisure. Took us 90 minutes to get in. However, i needed the ID check as despite the heat i still knocked the drinks back.

I was just texting with my buddy and we had just as good of a time as last year - maybe only just slightly less as there was less music on the side stages this year, and it was better over there.

Im totally in for another year and another trip to Vegas tho. Will lock it in ASAP again.
