    Things have changed.

"Turpentine" is just an all-time blink song. So crazy to get that in 2023.

The singles made sense but every full song on the rest of the album was better than the singles to me

Two acts we haven’t heard from in a while, The Rolling Stones and the original lineup of blink-182, take the top slots at iTunes albums this Flipover Friday.

ONE MORE TIME… by Columbia’s blink-182 sits at #1 while The Stones’ first album of original material in 18 years, Hackney Diamonds (Geffen), is #2. ONE MORE TIME…, blink’s first set in 12 years with co-founder Tom DeLonge, is also the top new arrival at Apple Music, starting at #12.

Was it mentioned that the leak had Mark singing ‘woah’ after the verse lines in childhood, but the (my) Apple Music version does not have them?

It’s beyond me how they choose Edging and Fell In Love over the tracks above. If I heard those as singles - I would have been way more hyped lol

Exactly. Those two singles perplex me.

I guess I get Edging. It's an ear worm. But I still don't love it.

Idk what else they even had done at the time they released Edging. It definitely wouldn't surprise me if it was the first or only song done at the time they had to announce their comeback

JFC I hate Apple Music so much sometimes. I subscribe to Apple Music and was able to play the album earlier today in Dolby Atmos. I then also purchased the digital album and it auto downloaded at out the album in my library. Fine, no biggie. But now I can’t play the thing in Dolby Atmos anymore. I can’t download it and play it in DA either. I then delete it from my library and try to “stream” it and it’ll only play in Lossless. I have DA “Always On” and “Download in DA” enabled. I’m about to throw my goddamn phone into the street…

The songs sound so much better as a whole album. Such a cohesive album. I haven’t been this taken with an album since idk 2006

edging is probably my least favorite song on this. wild it was the lead single.

I'll write you into all of my songs Supporter

Counter-point, they better reflect the "edges" of the record sonically, without releasing CHILDHOOD as a single

Relevant to Jason's review, a couple days ago I actually found the tape my friend made to get me into blink:

My spotify vinyl has arrived, and it sure is pretty!

But a lot of the lyrics on the insert are wildly wrong lol

Warning, molten hot take incoming: I think this is fine overall. I'd say like 10/17 tracks are keepers for me which I think is a pretty good hit rate at this point. They did some cool stuff on songs like Blink Wave, Turpentine, Terrified and it worked well for me. Some others I don't need to hear ever again tbh.

Had my very first listen in the car last night on the way home from TWY in Boston. Had a big grin on my face the whole time. Can't wait to spend more time with it.

This is most nostalgic blink has been with the callbacks: anthem, angels, boxcar.

also, some of the lyrics (among other things) make me really question if mark is truly cancer free…
