Well that’s not an issue for me, but like I can do with out songs like fuck face. Like idk certain songs i couldn’t get all the way through

 

I was surprised at the Fell In Love negativity. Really fun, catchy song that slips into the album well.

 

Yeah could be that it’s too early in the morning for me this constant barrage. But yeah some songs are pretty same-y sounding. That said I’m so happy Tom is back and I like this better than anything they’ve done since untitled

 

I love this album so much. This is the blink I’ve been waiting for since 2003.

 

Listened to this a few times already. I keep coming back to Bad News, Other Side and Fuck Face.

 

That’s cool you like it but I’m surprised that you’re surprised some people think it’s bad (count me as one who doesn’t care for it)

 

The chorus makes it. Sooo good.

 

Other Side has crept up as an album all-timer. Love it. Pure, sincere and the best of Mark.

 

I really like all of the songs individually but this isn’t very cohesive. Feels more like a mixtape or a playlist than an album.

 

I think the songs are overall very solid with only a couple weaker ones so my only real issue is the production.

If this album was produced like Untitled I'd have it as like an 8.5-9/10. However I think the production brings it down a notch as it's too much. Vox are too overproduced, drums too loud (so obviously mixed by a drummer), everything too overdone and a bit artificial. I think it often takes away from the songs/hooks more than it adds.

 

It's cohesive in the sense it's the 3 of them writing good songs together in 2023, and that's enough. Really.

 

"Fell In Love" is the exact song that you guys are describing when you try to defend Edging. It's pure pop blink. Catchy, dumb, fun. Idk how it's out of line with a lot of their other poppy singles. It's infectious, probably the catchiest song on the record. Lazy? Yeah probably, but so are a couple songs on this record.

 

after one full listen, this is ok. didnt really do incredibly much for me aside from already really liking MTYK and YDKWYG. I'd say Terrified and Blink Wave were the only two that really made me stop what I was doing to listen to them.

 

maybe don't listen to it while you're doing other stuff and you might be able to actually enjoy it haha

 

I remember cracking a genuine smile during the second verse of Blink Wave the first time I listened to it where Mark sings that line a bit higher. Something about it.

 

maybe the songs could be a little better lol

Idk what you're expecting out of blink cause this is the best shit they've put out in 20years easily

 

I'm genuinely confused at anyone saying some of the songs sound samey?

Like, Anthem 3, Terrified, Blink Wave, Turpentine and Childhood just off the top of my head are all vastly different and I love the variety on this album.

 

ok? lol its a fine record. one i will return to probably on runs or at the gym from time to time, but its not going to be my AOTY. very sorry to say.
