We still have Luxembourg to root for!

Western part of Kazakhstan is on the European side of the Urals and is bigger than some European countries plus being a part of the USSR allows for justification even if it seems odd. Same with Azerbaijan

I imagine the actual reason is probably somehow money. If you told me there’s more money (tv rights, etc) in playing UEFA matches over AFC, I’d believe you

  7. Didn’t watch the game but I’ve seen Udogie had a great game. I’m scared he’s going to be too good and we’ll lose him lol

Part of Kazakhstan is in Europe same as Turkey. Historically it competed in Europe as part of the USSR, they were part of AFC for a while after independence but requested to join UEFA again maybe 20 years ago or so.

Makes more geographical sense than Australia in AFC, Suriname and Guyana in CONCACAF

i believe Armenia, Israel, and Cyprus are the only UEFA members that aren’t wholly, or part geographically located in Europe. Armenia and Cyprus are culturally and politically European, similar to Suriname and Guyana in CONCACAF. And Israel is, well, banned from AFC.

He was very good yet again. Looks the real deal. I don’t know why he would leave Spurs right now to be honest, but if I’m one of the mega clubs, I’d be looking at him for sure.

The only part of his game that would worry me is how he picks up early cards. He got taken off in the second half because of it.

Not to sound flippant, but Sandro Tonali being involved in the betting scandal is very Newcastle.

Neymar tore his ACL and meniscus yesterday. That’s probably the end of his career, then.

Saw a comment on Twitter that said he had played more games before he was 24 than Paul Scholes played in his career. Certainly seems relevant.

Fourth pint is the “I think I need to order French fries” pint which is a close second

My work’s Christmas party is being held at St George’s Park.

Wonder who the special guests are. Knowing my luck it’ll be like Eric Dier or Harry Maguire.

Fourth pint is touch and go. If you haven’t eaten since lunch, it could be dangerous. Third pint is that sweet spot you don’t have to worry about.

Fifth pint is being hungover in the backseat of a bus swerving through the Irish countryside...

Ordering a glass of water cause you're the designated "carer" is the most satisfactory pint.

  24. Charlotte played Miami last night (without Messi) and ended up with a 2-2 draw. We gave up a goal in the 83’ minute. We lead the league in points dropped with 25, with majority of those points being dropped in the 80’ min or later. We’ve had 3-4 games where the late goal happened after the 90th. It’s the most frustrating thing ever.

Saturday is the final game of the season. And it’s against Miami again. This time with Messi (apparently). To make playoffs, we have to win this game and get a couple other results (which are actually fairly realistic). But it’s just a shame our playoff hopes come down to beating Messi when we could be comfortably qualified right now.

With that said, I’m (hopefully) 2 days away from watching Messi in person and that makes up for my team being completely incompetent.

y’all looked super deflated/content after that equalizer, as if the draw is fine and 3 pts are guaranteed on Saturday.

Still hope to get above the line, though. Other clubs won’t have a walk in the park either.
