Seems like the sound stages are off the the left and right of the 2 main stages next to the vip sections based off the map

Bummed SoCo got a short time for being the big reunion (not counting night before) but I guess at same time while they are big in our world, for the general folks going it probably isn't as big as Yellowcard, Sum 41, etc.

Probably Hurricane, Punk Rock Princess, Space, I Woke Up In A Car, and If U C Jordan?

If all the bands playing during Green Day played during blink instead I would be much happier with this lol

Really wanted to watch 2 nights of blink, I can handle one night of GD but I think I’ll watch blink night 1 and then maybe go see some of the other stuff during them night 2 depending on the vibe

At quick glance the only conflicts for me would be NFG vs. Michelle Branch and The Offspring vs. Thrice.

So bizarre that Bowling For Soup is up against Blink 182. You'd think they'd have a lot of overlap. Would've made more sense to swaps BFS's slot with someone like Pierce the Veil or Finch.

I will give this festival a ton of credit though. All the giant festivals are so much worse when it comes to seeing the big acts.

Austin just got through another round of ACL and you're never gonna see the top acts listed on a same day. Of course there's gonna be clashes but they at least promise you the opportunity to see the top like 14 bands billed. Not a lot of festivals have that .

Set times are in the app. There’s a 5 min gap between all the bands on the 2 main stages

Green day getting a full 2 hour set. Very impressive

Psychotic move to put the schedule on that going from last artist on to first artist time-wise.

    Anyways.

Not only are my clashes not that bad. I even get a break at times.

    Really easy start;
    Fenix tx. Full
    Ataris. Full
    Motion city. Full
Nfg. Full (unless last second audible for branch)

--- break time. Peak at Yellowcard if I'm amped. Maybe check out tigers jaw, wrecks or citizen, idk much about them.

    Finch. Probably full
Goldfinger. Partial (this is a big clash for me but ill see how I'm feeling about switching stages half way)

    - break. I really don't care about any band for a while. 5 seconds, all time low, academy is, plain white ts don't do anything for me. Idk turnover or hot mulligan so maybe I'll check them out.

Sum 41. Full or 90% full
Mxpx. Catch as much as I can after sum 41.
Rise against vs reliant k. Coin flip. Maybe half of each.

Good Charlotte. (Sorry saves the day you're cut)
Simple plan. 90% and then run to the finale

Offspring, blink, green day (sorry less than jake)

    Things have changed.

New Found Glory tours nine months out of the year. Michelle Branch is a much rarer set, and something I'd venture most people at the festival wouldn't pay for on their own. Makes sense to her there and NFG in a headlining capacity vs. a 30-minute set.

    Sigh. Its true.

Honestly, motion city, soco and nfg getting the 30 minute treatment is a bit of a surprised but its either that or they play later in the day and clash with the big boppers so I get it

Is 5 seconds of summer bigger than nfg? I feel like two could easily swap

A ton of people are complaining about the VIP setup but it seems ok to me? What am I missing? I’ll be way closer for blink than I thought and can watch Green Day from there. It’s not like you won’t be able to see either stage from one VIP section.

  22. Last year the entire front of the right side stage was VIP. I think this setup is more equitable and its smart to split the green day / blink fans to make it less crowded.

As non vip guy and someone who haaaaaates this type of tiered tickets for ga shows....it looks fair to me?

  24. After being in ga last year and couldn't get anywhere close to the stages after Thursday was over, I'm VIP all the way to any festival I go to now lol. Well worth it at adjacent this year.

That VIP set-up looks completely fine. I prefer the Riot Fest format where it's a big ol' triangle and thus generally less obstructive to the GA section but... This is fine and I'd be willing to bet it looks worse on the map than it will be in action.

I get the concern on paper because it looks like the VIP section will take up 50% of the Green viewing area right up-front. But in reality it'll probably be more like 30%.

EDIT: But I also don't really get the people who insist on needing to be right up-front for every single main stage act, anyway. I generally assume that any band after 7pm at any festival I go to I'll be watching from a decent distance. Just not worth the hassle or missing of other bands to say I was right near the barricade for any artist for me.
