My bet/guess is that KROQ gets Blink for AAC and New Alt gets Green Day or Foo Fighters for Alter Ego

They started only doing one night when they reintroduced it last year. Curious as to what the reasoning is

PTV's tour ends the day before in San Diego and I know emergency contact has been getting some radio play. Wonder if they'll be on this

I thought it wasn't announced until Tue? Did someone screw up?

EDIT: Nevermind, saw it came from an official channel

It’s a solid lineup for sure. But I don’t see myself going again.

    My two questions are:

    1. Wonder why they announced it early?

    2. Wonder who from this lineup will be touring next year. Would Paramore do another tour?

Not quite the same amount of heavy hitters as last year but I think the talent pool for these radio shows has shrunk (stadium-level acts don't really need to cater to the diminishing returns of alternative radio). 30STM, Paramore, Sum 41, Yellowcard, Bush probably all touring next year. It's amazing the resilience that Gavin Rossdale has around Bush. He's somehow convinced himself that people are constantly craving new albums from Bush as there have been 5 (!!!) of them since he resurrected the brand in 2011.

Oh weird. I just noticed Alter Ego is gonna be at the Honda Center this year and not the Forum. Maybe I’ll try to go after all lol

Is there a stigma about the Honda Center being a less prestigious than the Forum? I ask as a NYC person who views the Prudential Center in Newark as significantly less than MSG/Barclays.

I don’t think so. It’s just that I live 15 minutes away from the Honda Center, as opposed to 40-60 minutes away from the Forum. So it’s way more convenient for me

EDIT: Well… in terms of other stuff too, I feel like Honda is a more convenient venue for out of towners too. I’ll happily take $25 parking over the Forum’s $60 parking. Or paying $20 to hike a bit after the show

    Things have changed.

There’s absolutely nothing to extrapolate from a radio station show outside of peak touring season, but a Sum 41 and Yellowcard tour would be super fun. I know it’s Sum’s final tour though and that might be too big a bill.

I’d imagine Paramore will tour as well next year.

Yeah, I have a feeling that Yellowcard is going to try to get on another big tour next year. No evidence, just a gut feeling. The door is wide open for them and they just had by far their most successful tour ever.

Yeah I feel like Yellowcard could definitely do another successful tour especially if the bill is stacked. Something like Yellowcard with support form Taking Back Sunday, New Found Glory and Bayside would do really well. Given how successful the tour was I think they could do another big tour and beef up the support. It’s not like any of the bands on the last tour drew well, YC was the sole reason that tour did as well as it did. I feel like they could do even better if they had great support.
