The whole YMH universe is just full of the worst people who aren’t in Legion of Skanks.

 

I loved YMH for so long but the 2 of them have proven to be the definition of “money makes you stupid and entitled”. What a crybaby that you take to the internet to bitch about someone that did their job.

 

I’m seeing Nate Bargatze at Radio City tonight. Very excited.

 

I saw a recent clip of Christina P making fun of Rachel Zegler and pronouns and really there’s no difference now between them and Ben Shapiro. Just low hanging fruit bullshit for morons.

 

I never listened to their podcast but I saw Christina P at indie standup shows in like 2009 and then I watched part of her recent-ish standup special where she wears a pantsuit and it was, uh, very different material. Lol.

 

I'm seeing Taylor Tomlinson tonight, should be dandy!

 

Tonight was wild. Had tickets to Jeselnik’s first show in CLE tonight. 5 minutes into his set (which he was KILLING) he goes “what the fuck is going on inside this building” a staff member replied “wind” and he goes “well, I hope everyone enjoys the last show ever at this building” and almost immediately after he says that the power goes out.

He leaves the stage and comes out 15 min later with no mic and says he has to cancel the show. Nobody could hear him obviously, so a staff member gave him a low-powered mic (presumably venue was on a generator) and he’s cancelling the show and then asks the venue if he can just use this mic. They told him no and he goes “everyone is telling me to cancel but I’m just gonna do the show anyway”

He was great tonight, although I suspect he cut his material by at least 20 minutes and the mic was hard to hear him at times, but I have never witnessed anything like that. The second show was ultimately cancelled.

 

There isn’t many things more annoying at a comedy show than someone right behind you who laughs and repeats the punchlines the entire night. Haha just laugh and let her tell the jokes, dude! God damn haha

 

Not only did Nate Bargatze absolutely crush at Radio City tonight, but his dad opened for him and did a 15-20 minute magic/comedy set with crowd involvement and it was absolutely amazing. If he’s coming to your city, you need to see it.

 

Watched this friday and it was amazing btw. So wholesome and one of my favorites I've seen in a while. Cubes for my boyyyys

 

This is actually great. Fuck every heckler who thinks they can step on someone trying to create and do their job because they're "done" with whatever the comic is doing.

 

Saw Aunty Donna live tonight....tbh I really really don't think there stuff translates well to the stage. They just did the same sketches from Netflix and YouTube, and just improvised a few extra lines along the way.

They had TOO much energy. They needed to take a breath and work in the delivery.

 

Comedy shows can be weird like that sometimes. I won tickets to see Gaffigan in my city and he did the hot pockets bit as an encore, and everyone was hooting and hollering as if they didn't already know the joke line for line. It was weird lol

 

Had a similar experience at an early Jim Jefferies show in a small venue. People were shouting requests as if it was a music show and then mouthing along with every joke and still laughing.

 

I stopped seeing Gaffigan when he comes to town because a) his stand-up has been like under an hour the last few times I've seen him and b) he typically rehashes old jokes near the end.

 

Aunty Donna even made a few jokes about how they're above doing fan service....but did it anyways.... which..... didn't make it less painful for me (crowd went nuts)

I thought every comedy writer knew the difference between sketches made for the stage and sketches made for edited filming.

I still love those guys but yeah this was a miss

 

I made it through two episodes of their show and bailed. Some funny but mostly obnoxious

 

I really wanted to like the show but it mostly didn't work for me either.

 

I saw The Eric Andre Explosion on Friday and WOOOO boy. It is not for the faint of heart lmao. How he can do some of these things in public is beyond law and order. I had a fucking blast. If you go, wear clothes you don't mind getting food slopped on.

Happy I jumped ship when I was simply mad at their Sixers takes

 

Havent paid any attention since CCHC and Never Heard of Them ended.
