I mean, he did write it. And Hooper is a great director on his own, it’s not surprising that it feels like Spielberg and is also really well directed by another person.

 

Almost done with my Hill House rewatch. My most favorite episode is undoubtedly the fifth one. My second favorite was the sixth, as I was really impressed by all the long takes and camerawork. This time around, though, I think it's the ninth. Even though I knew what was going to happen it still kind of snuck up on me. Carla Gugino is absolutely heartbreaking in this episode and I think I've just found a deeper appreciation for her performance

 

We’re watching Appendage on Hulu and it’s way sillier than I expected (non-derogatory)

 

only six minutes in and I already love this

 

I really liked Appendage, felt like a more light-hearted Malignant. Not as good but a fun little horror movie. The perfect kind of thing to watch on Hulu on a weeknight with low expectations.

 

Watched Exists for the Gore-Us cryptid movie pick. Found footage bigfoot film. Just a big meh for me really. They show it WAY too often which takes away from the scenes that should be tense and scary. Maybe that works for some but in this case, less would be more for me. 2/5

 

Feels like I got all I needed out of the concept from that trailer, but I’ll probably still watch it bc night swimming is one of those lizard brain fears

- Night of the Living Dead with a live score was fucking sick. Best horror film ending of all-time
- Tina Romero is the nicest person on the planet. Everyone here is
- Totally Killer was mostly fun with some strange choices, pretty much exactly what you expect it to be
