First time watching Bram stoker’s Dracula, what a wild ride. Mostly enjoyed it. Kinda chaotic. Some awesome
Visuals. Some real bad acting.

Watching Pumpkinhead and just learned that the cabin they go to is the same one from Friday the 13th Part IV.

 

I might say this every year, but Pumpkinhead is super underrated. This movie is cool as hell. Perfect late summer / early fall vibes.

 

Think we're gonna check out Lights Out tonight. The YouTube short it was based on definitely scared me years ago

 

Ooh or The Last Exorcism. Hard choice.

trust me, you're gonna wanna do The Last Exorcism lol

this has been sitting on my entertainment center for a while, runtime is definitely the thing that's held me back from watching it

 

Saw X was so good lol I mean the bar is low for those movies but it's the best one yet and it isn't particularly close. Feels like someone took the DNA from Saw II and transplanted it into a genuinely good movie. The first 45 minutes of exposition with Tobin Bell is so compelling. Traps were brutal. The twist felt very Scream.

 

Man, am I gonna have to go see it?

 

Would definitely recommend seeing it with an audience if possible. You don't really have to see any of the other films besides the first one. Just Google who Hoffman is before the mid-credits scene.

 

I've seen them all except Spiral. Just usually wait for those to hit streaming but your review has me interested. May go see it for 5 dollars on Tuesday

The Last Exorcism was dope. Ended kind of abruptly but I liked it

 

At this point I'm just looking for some good jump scares so I'm down for it haha

 

The Wailing is really good, and the ending makes it worth the runtime. Treated it in my head like a mini series.

Man, went down the rabbit hole of reading discussions on TLE, and why are people so obsessed with horror movies just being a mental health plot? I see so many people so let down that a movie about possessions actually has a possession lol. I thought it was pretty clear that something demonic would go down. What's wrong with that!?

 

I'm next. Funny to see this mentioned here. I have a close friend that brings it up every year around this time and I finally promised her this will be the one where I watch it.

 

Some people just want things to be deeper than they are.

Just finished up Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) for the Gore-Us remake pick. Fucking ruled. The pod birthing scene was so gross/awesome. Great film. 4/5
