Stylized/cartoonidh gore I'm okay with. Renfield is awesome

 

Saw X ruled hard. Most I’ve truly enjoyed a Saw film since the early ones.

 

Chris Stuckman’s goofy ass liked it fwiw

 

Terrifier is just taking a slasher to extreme levels or gore and cruelty. Which to me I find very enjoyable, especially when the practical effects are as good as they are in those films. They're also very funny. I feel like I saw people complaining about the acting in 2 when to me it perfectly fits the vibe and just creates these ridiculous situations for the kills.

I'm also someone who really liked/likes the Saw franchise and loves Irreversible and Martyrs so take that as you will.

 

I think French Extremity deserves a bit more credit than being conflated with all extreme/shock horror. To me, there's a lot more going on in Pascal Laugier's Martyrs and Claire Denis' Trouble Every Day than a movie like Hostel or Human Centipede.
