Yeah, they lost some steam after the comeback. I feel like they still have a good following in Socal but we'll see how this turns out. I'll be making the trek down there, mainly for Drain and Texas In July

Noah Khan has pricier tickets that are charity tickets but in the description it says only $1 of those tickets will go to it

Most of the Noah tickets were not $500. Most were $150-$250, I got lawn tickets for $67 before fees. At least for ours, I did see the $500 tickets though. Pit was $350

I paid like 260 each for pit for Noah but the conversion rate from Canada is good lol

  7. We got 4 Noah pit tickets for $248 each after fees and tax I think

Noah probably should have done a ballpark in NYC similar to what he's doing in Boston given the demand for MSG.

Are more people going to concerts than ever before? I’d be interested to see if that’s the case because it’s crazy to see these artists with 2 albums being stadium acts.

This really seems to be the case to me. It seems like almost every artist has blown up to way bigger than they were pre-pandemic if they were around then. I also think some of it has to do with the most in demand acts not necessarily being the ones with the most top 40 hits anymore. Plus the increased pressure to attend events as a status symbol + algorithms making it seem like everyone in the world is attending the concert of the artist you love

It's not even just arena/stadium acts either. Like I saw Faye Webster pre-pandemic in a 175 capacity venue as an opener and now she's embarking on a completely sold out tour in a couple thousand capacity rooms. In 2019, Weyes Blood could barely sell out an 800 capacity venue in Chicago and post-pandemic sold out a 2,500 capacity venue in Chicago (and all other stops sold well/had large crowds). Those are just two examples but there's soooo many more of acts who truly blew up. It's not a bad thing because acts are finally getting their due, but it is wild to see.

Probably gonna cool down in a year or two after the post pandemic pent up boom

  15. Thank tiktok for that, I think.

Yeah, streaming has gotten more people into more music so demand for the top 1% of acts in nuts.

Seeing Alex G in an 800 capacity venue pre-pandemic and it being maybe half full and then him selling out two nights at the same venue post-pandemic quickly was definitely one of the "whoa" moments where this was evident.

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

I missed his most recent tour, but I was shocked that he headlined (and sold out) the Wiltern. Which is 3,700 cap

The one that's hardest for me to wrap my head around is Hot Mulligan playing the House of Blues Chicago one night and then another 5,000 cap venue in Chicago the next. I get that they've gotten popular and I'm probably starting to become a little out of touch but that's just wild to me.

Hot Mulligan, The Maine, Turnstile are 3 just off the top of my head that are doing WAY better now than they were pre-COVID

I follow like 200 people on instagram and I follow like 0 people on TikTok and yet my TikTok has way more concert footage than I see from the people I follow on ig.

Lorna Shore, Bad Omens, Ice Nine Kills, In This Moment, a lot of different bands just seemingly gained fans overnight.
