I’m a SUD counselor and I show this to my Aftercare group every year. I love seeing their responses to Brain Damage.

  7. Basket Case’s pacing isn’t as good and doesn’t have as amazing of an intro to the monster, but it has the apartment freak out scene. They’re probably both pretty equal haha.

Halfway through Vampyre, it's... not bad, or so-bad-it's-good, just kinda boring. but the music goes hard for no reason

I wouldn't have guessed that this came out three years after Hellraiser, it feels so dated

Edit: yeah I didn't like this at all. But for it to make a list of "trash horror" I was kinda expecting(/hoping?) it would be terrible

Holy cow, Slime City is wild. Somewhere between The Stuff, Street Trash, and Evil Dead. Truly gross out putrid practical effects too. If I watched this with any sort of nausea, it would’ve been too much.

Her fashion and decor in No One Will Save You was so cute ugh I need to learn how to sew. I need her clothes and her house. Minus the aliens. Watching the end now cause I fell asleep to it last night

Posting this for the dolts (like myself) who started the series on Netflix but didn't finish it before they dropped it. Literally started it 2 days before it disappeared this past summer lol

  20. Watched New Nightmare for the first time. I dug it. I'd only seen the first three Elm Street movies prior to this.

Randomly decided to rewatch The Last Exorcism, and I still think it's a pretty effective found footage horror elevated by the awesome Patrick Fabian. It's probably not good, but I'm morbidly curious about The Last Exorcism Part II because they brought back Ashley Bell, who was great in the first movie, and Julia Garner is in it ha.

For some reason I always think about The Haunting in Connecticut when I think of The Last Exorcism and it still baffles me that they made a sequel to that called The Haunting in Connecticut 2: The Ghosts of GEORGIA. Like, how do you hold onto the og title when it's not even set in that state anymore?!
