10-8 round 5 is in inexcusable. Valentina was winning the first 3:30 and Alexa didn’t do enough damage to get it even close to stopping.

Pretty weird. That division has definitely been stagnant, and it's not even because of lack of talent or challengers.

 

Covington refuses to fight anyone but a titleholder or somebody he can wrestle.

Wonderboy had a fight that fell through.

Burns fought back to back too closely and probably deserves the most time off.

Brady was injured and recovering iirc.

Khamzat has switched divisions seemingly.

That leaves Leon to fight whoever (likely Colby which makes no sense.)
Belal vs Usman makes sense and I think would earn him a guaranteed shot if he beat Usman.
Wonderboy vs everybody else.

Most casuals will not understand the gravity of Jiri and Alex meeting in the UFC after becoming two stars in MMA without the UFC. Literally two of maybe 10-15 competitors i avidly watched before they made it to the UFC.

This is the most exciting matchup I’ve seen booked in a long time. Sad I don’t live in NY anymore.

 

Honestly been my dream match up for a while. I think I even said some time ago in this thread that I hoped to see this fight even if it wasn't for the title. That's why I was bummed that Alex was potentially going to meet Jamahal first because it could have potentially prevented this fight from happening.

Yeah either has to be an Aspinall fight night or Yan/Zhang China card. Somehow the lack of UK fighters leads me to believe it could be a China card. It’s built similar to the Singapore card with Max/Zombie.
