My therapist says the ease with which I get over failed relationships suggests I was never fully invested in the first place. She speaks as though pain is the only signifier for legitimacy or the processing of those failed endeavors.

No it is. Especially for a girl to say it to a guy. It takes a lot of guts. They'd rather toy with you and string you along.

 

People in general have a hard time with confrontation and just being real about it. So many ppl are scared of hurting someone's feelings but don't realize that drawing it out hurts more. Idk if that's what's going on there but it's a ppl thing def.

I'm def bad at confrontation. It's hard for me too. I remember when I broke up with my first bf I tried doing it in person but I ended up having to do it over the phone and I could tell he was crying a bit so I was like "omgyourecryingomgimsorryokaybye" and hung up ooooop. I was 15 tho lol

 

My first ever breakup:
"I don't think this is working"
"Yeah it is, I'm really happy"

And then we dated for another week before the breakup actually caught up to us

I suppose the number of crappy instances of behaviour from people on Tinder has now got me conditioned to expect everyone to be a disingenuous shit .

I don't want to dismiss what you're saying, but there's a possibility that it's just your perception, and that things are going well, no? I know I always had a tendency to get too into my own head about these sorts of things.

 

started texting a girl I matched with on tinder. she's insanely pretty and has like 4k instagram followers and I'm insanely average so I'm stressing. basically waiting to get ghosted. actually she snapped me a photo this morning and I snapped back and she's yet to reply so that's probably all it took lol.
