I've seen Bargatze twice and cried laughing both times.

 

My parents aren't fans of blue comedy, so Mulaney was always our go-to. Mom kind of soured on him, so Bargatze's the new favorite.

He's just a super sharp comedian. His bit about "The Sixth Sense" and how it was more believable that he didn't talk to his wife for a year than him dying from a gunshot is so good.

Marc Maron and Jim Gaffigan talk about him on a recent WTF episode and *from my hazy memory* essentially refer to him as being a somewhat religious/conservative guy whose standup is great and hasn’t been hampered by it. I don’t recall if they acknowledged a moving away from religion/conservatism in that brief podcast reference to him re: the person above who said that hasn’t come up in interviews in a while.

 

I remember when i followed Nate on twitter he was always the name that came up under "followed by" when it would recommend people like ben shapiro, tucker carlson and fucks like that. This was a 2-3 years ago now though and you cant see full follow lists anymore though so I cant look up if he's still following them. Hopefully he's gotten better since then but it definitely soured me on him big time. Not seeing a blue check on his twitter gives me some hope as sad as that is lol

He's super funny regardless

 

Everyone can draw the line for artists they support. I try not to let who they follow on social media dictate whether I support someone because 9 times out of 10, they’ll let you down. Comics are gonna be friends with the LoS losers or go on Joe Rogan. Until he explicitly comes out with something damning, I’ll still like him and listen to his stuff.

Fallon sucks. This kinda reminds me of the Ellen thing. I think his bullshit 'nice guy' facade is gonna start to crumble or more people are just going to realize how fake he is. We just need new late night hosts across the board except for Seth tbh.

 

Colbert obviously dumbed himself down and I no longer watch. But by all accounts, he's a great boss. He can stay.

 

Yeah I get the impression Colbert treats his staff well and cares for everybody on the show. But yeah Seth is king over all of them

 

Just saw Sarah Squirm. Kind of feel like I got the shit beat out of me. Incredibly wild set

It's honestly wild that this tiny ass alt comedy bar run by 20 year olds is bringing in these comedians who can comfortably play theaters and I get to sit a foot in front of them. I'm incredibly lucky

I know they changed the pod to Casino Boys but I didn’t realize how much AAACR dove into gambling. I must have unsubscribed to the patreon right before they went nuts.

I’m going through the episodes from earlier this year and I just can’t understand how they win so much. They seem so flabbergasted when they lost a bunch of money on slots in no time at all… that’s basically all I’ve ever seen slot machines do!
