I hope not, but something has to change. It's so weird seeing us playing this way. I really don't know whats wrong with this team but it's basically a problem since the WC 2018. On paper we have a good to great team (with some exceptions on few positions) but whenever we play, the players seem to forget everything they are usually capable of. Gündogan turns into a mediocre player, and so does Kimmich and a few others. Ter Stegen makes the simplest of mistakes. And some players really look like amateurs.
We have the Euros next year at home, I hope we can turn this around. But right now it looks really dire.

Only United could spend £80m on a RW who is the perfect combination of being not very good and a piece of shit, and will probably end up having to terminate his contract.

    And then there's this -

We've lost essentially all wing depth in the space of a week. Least Amad and Pellistri might get game time.

First thing I thought of here was how Bale broke through at Spurs. He only got the opportunity to play because someone else (can't remember who exactly) was injured. Had that never happened, who knows where Bale would have ended up. Just trying to give you a silver lining.

Yeah, same with Rashford to be fair. Just makes the Sancho thing more annoying really - with Antony out, there's a place there for the taking on the right. But he's gone and fallen out with the manager instead of putting his head down.

It seems a bigger thing with Sancho though right? Did I read the other day that they released the info re: his mental wellbeing without seeking his permission and then ETH has a go about his standard in training? I can understand Sancho feeling potentially targeted / treated differently, especially considering there's been reports ETH was happy for Greenwood to return and he loves Antony too.

There's definitely something bigger going on with him. Seems to be a bit of a press briefing war going on between the parties. The comments about releasing medical info without his permission have only just been mentioned now, despite the quotes being almost a year old now. Ten Hags direct quotes from the time don't reveal anything too personal, just some comment about him being mentally not ready to play or something. Sancho certainly didn't seem to have any issues with it at the time either, no negative comments or anything, and immediately changing his Twitter pic to one with him and Ten Hag.

He's had a very long rope at United, even just counting time under Ten Hag, compared with other players. He was given 3 months off mid season last year, which is virtually unheard of. Other players like Wan Bissaka were essentially banished, yet worked their way back and now first choice.

I think United may have been quietly shopping him over the summer, Ducker mentioned they didn't get any suitable bids, even Sanchos statement hints at something happening behind the scenes. Interesting that this has all kicked off just as the transfer window shut. I think Ten Hag probably feels at the end of his tether and is using public shame as a final attempt to extract literally anything of worth out of Sancho, as every other method has been tried.

Völler in 2023? Haha. Even if he's just interim I find that funny.

Pellistri has to know just how incredible of an opportunity he has in front of him these next few weeks and just how make or break this could be.

    - Antony out of the team indefinitely
    - Sancho in the dog house
    - Amad still injured

Think of how many incredible players never made it at the top level because they were in the wrong spot at the wrong time or just never had things line up well enough for them to have a realistic crack at it.

Flick going from dominance with Bayern to this with the national team is crazy and really highlights how bad things have become for Germany now that the golden generation have retired.
