I jammed New Demons when it came out nonstop

Never listened to Polaris before but this new album fucking GOES

 

I never checked out Polaris until I randomly threw on one of the new singles a week or two ago. Excited to hear the full album

OH SHIT so um apparently Polaris are here in three weeks and long story short I'm going to see them in Belfast on the 25th, the night after I go see The National in Glasgow. Neck-breaking musical whiplash going on.

 

The new SYSC album is gonna GO OFF

 

Glad to see ISS are back. Just waiting on that new album announcement now.

 

Surprised by the vocals on the polaris record.
Some incredibly heavy stuff I wasn’t expecting and then a lot more singing in the chorus’

 

I’m underwhelmed by the Polaris record. I know they recently lost (RIP) a member so they may be in a different headspace. Now the new Currents: hell yes.

 

i am the exact opposite lol. polaris's lp is their best full length by a mile imo and pushed their sound the furthest its ever gone in both directions. not like it's some groundbreaking masterpiece or anything but def hungrier than usual polaris fare

currents is on the other hand the most monotonous core record ive heard this year unfort. songs work decently in isolation but its an exhausting full listen thats more or less just stuck in one gear

 

Well this is fucking great

 

he was present on this album entirely so that wouldn't have had any affect on the songs they wrote. I enjoyed it on first listen but have not gone back at all.
