When I saw Tim and Eric back in the day they did standing room only like a concert and it sucked so much. so dumb.

 

not only is it uncomfortable, it's a terrible way to watch/perform comedy

 

Saw a Portlandia live show at the Echo in LA a long time ago. Standing. There was a bit of music but it is in deed odd to stand and watch sketches or video pieces.

 

Eric’s new podcast “Bombing” is awesome.

 

Whitmer Thomas was standing but half the set was music so it didn’t feel weird

there's a bunch of bar type places here that do comedy shows that are mixed seating and standing which I get but yeah all standing isn't the same

And want to echo a post above that mentions Eric Andre’s podcast. It is pretty enjoyable, especially since it’s presented as one of those “celeb/entertainment figure doing a radio show with higher production values” ‘Podcast One’ style shows. But it’s chill and the guests so far have had fun stories about bombing. Good pod.

 

How’s Ramy Youseff’s stand up? He’s playing 3 nights here but I’m not super familiar. I know people love his show

Is Craig Ferguson worth seeing nowadays? I just saw he's playing a casino near me and my gf used to watch his late night show and tix prices aren't unreasonable.

 

I don’t know anything about his friends but he’s great

 

He’s friends with a lot of the Legion of Skanks guys, but there are sadly a lot of decent comics that are. It doesn’t bleed into his comedy. He’s pretty wholesome and doesn’t get into whining about cancel culture or anything. I would definitely go and see him.
