This "fans randomly getting stuff in the mail to tease some big announcement/tour" thing -- how does that happen? I haven't understood how since we've seen it for a few years now from a handful of acts.

Do they just pick random fans' whose address/info they have on file from buying merch or something? seems so exceedingly random, but there has to be some way these bands/their teams are deciding which ones to mail these little tease packs to, right?

 

Too obscure for chorus or naw?

 

I got something from The Wonder Years before Sister Cities, and I'm sure it's because I had pre-ordered everything they had released up to that point from their site. Beyond that, especially for bigger bands, I assume it's a lottery among tons of people who they can tell are active in their stores/social media.

 

This thread is full of metal tours with unreadable ad mats playing 100-capacity shitholes that smell like BO so all tour posts are welcome.

 

if the show isn't in a 100 cap room that smells like BO, I don't wanna go

 

I feel the same, but mostly because I can’t afford to go to nice venues anymore. The 5 dollar shows are 20 bucks now so

 

I prefer to kick up a notch to 300 capacity and BO combined with beer breath smell

Everytime I see a band play here I go damn they must not be doing well.

We just had shane Henderson from valencia play here yesterday and I was like poor guy :/

Its like the 7th biggest city in florida. But it's a retirement town. So a ton of people live here but it's all people 55+. very little people in the he is legend camp that would go see them. Where there playing maybe could hold 100 people if it were super packed.

I set my friends on fire sold out the show they played here. But the venue only held 100 people

I consider fort pierce, Port st lucie and Stuart all one town. Port st lucie is the 6th I think.

I live in Port st lucie technically. But work in Stuart. It takes me 11 minutes to get to that venue. To me there the same city lol

 

I made fun of pioneer town one time in this thread saying it didn’t exist and I just happened to drive through it this weekend so that’s a real fun thing

 

Good tour and will still probably smell better than a Weezer show.

 

Revised Head Automatica dates

 

Still annoyed they cancelled the Cincy date.

 

Not gonna lie, I have no interest in seeing Head Automatica, but Foxy Shazam in a 300 cap club sounds awesome.

 

Some of those rooms are still too big for Head Automatica in 2023.

 

The Head Automatica reunion of 2023 is the Midtown reunion of 2022.
