His albums have had diminishing returns for me over the years, but I’m always excited to check a new one out.

That first one still holds up as one of my all time favs.

extremely here for him going back to his producer bag but I also... wouldn't say I enjoy this. curious to hear the whole thing, supposedly another song he played live has vocals

Both tracks have got me very hopeful. Looks like a mix between his more experimental singles and his first album. So I'm all on this.

Just did a discog runthrough, and personally it's a pretty clear order for my favs...

James Blake > Assume Form > Overgrown > Friends That Break Your Heart > The Colour In Anything

Actually just revisited the s/t last weekend and still love it. Though putting The Colour last!??? And behind AF and Freinds!???? Steve

Colour is far too long and really lacks variety. I Need A Forest Fire is the only song I actually remember after the album ends

Overgrown > TCIA > Assume Form > JB > FTBYH (although i've only spun FTBYH once, so maybe this isn't accurate)

Colour > Self Titled = Assume Form > Overgrown > Friends

    They’re all very good

The first three albums are his best. The two after that are completely forgettable. His singles/EPs will always reign supreme.

Got high hopes for his new one, though.

You're all sleeping on Assume Form, give it another shot

Friends is his worst by a very significant distance
